Supply and installation of a “rainscreen” and “brise-soleil” cladding, composed of a mechanical fixing system in galvanized
steel and Sannini Impruneta terracotta elements, acid-washed and treated:
Primary structure constituted of vertical profiles in galvanized steel, placed at 200 cm distances approximately. Sections
are bound to the support slabs and fixed to the wall by means of special straps and expansion bolts equipped with
adjustable spacers, anchors and an omega profile for the fastening of the cotto elements.
The cladding is realized with cotto elements “doga T-element” and “doga bracket”, manufactured out of a special clay
extracted from the Impruneta area. The elements are supplied in sizes of (l x h x t): 500x145x97 mm (doga T-element)
and 500x145x48 mm (doga bracket) and have a “litos” surface texture. Installation with vertical joints of approx 6
mm and horizontal c/c distances of 5 cm for rainscreen systems and of 15 cm for brise-soleil applications. The cotto
elements are to be installed carefully in order to avoid possible out of square placement, and to provide compensation
for any defects in the existing backup wall or reinforced concrete structure, leaving a space of about 8/10 cm between
the back face of the cladding elements and the support wall.
Treatment: the external face of the Sannini cotto element requires acid-washing using a decalcifying acid detergent for
the removal of possible efflorescences and surface protection through the application of an impregnation on a siloxane
micro-emulsion basis. |
